Childhood memories
August 29th, 2017
As a child with my 2 brothers and 1 sister, we spent our weekends with our dad, who lived in a carriage house in Mt Vernon. We would visit Louie’s bookstore, the monument and had our Easter egg hunts in the park- all of us had our matching handmade outfits that my mom would stay up all night sewing for us. Our love for art blossomed as we walked thru the Walters Art Gallery. We would visit the armor room in the basement all the floors. To this day the Walters Art Gallery is our favorite museum, even after visiting all the museums in Europe. Mount Vernon and the Baltimore Washington Monument is a very special childhood memory.
